Tales of Harm

Can You Really Trust Medical “Professionals”?

If you’re like most people, you likely look up to medical professionals like Gods - all-knowing creatures who can’t possibly do wrong. In reality, medical staff are only human - just like you - and humans make mistakes

In the Medical Landscape,

Mistakes Costs Lives!

Research shows that medical negligence kills at least 250,000 people a year. Some reports claim this number is as high as 440,000.

Written by a healthcare insider and witness of real-world medical negligence, Tales of Harm empowers readers to become their own healthcare advocates. Discover healthcare horror stories hospitals will never tell you, turning knowledge into power so you can make more informed healthcare decisions for you and your family.

The Definitive Graphic Handbook to Navigate Healthcare

No matter how much healthcare evolves, stories of horrifying medical errors continue to emerge daily. When you visit your healthcare professional, you likely see them as some sort of “God,” as most people do, blindly placing your well-being into their “trusted” hands. But - are their hands so trustworthy? When most people visit a medical professional, they assume that the person sitting opposite them is some sort of all-knowing medical magician. We trust their care without thinking to perform any of our own research - but what are we supposed to do? “Dr. Google” is NOT your friend. According to him, your symptoms are almost always a sign of some dreaded disease.

For Publishers

Could you ever imagine a medical staff member hurting you? Of course not, but it happens every day. Doctors are human too, but in the medical industry, being “only human” is dangerous.

My name is George Baez, and I’ve spent years working on the inside of the healthcare industry witnessing Medical “horror stories” firsthand. I see a future where health consumers are in charge of their own well-being, as “advocates” for their family’s health and wellness. I wrote Tales of Harm, in a graphic novel format to target the “layman,” serving as a handy guidebook and educational “reality check” for consumers. Tales of Harm, with its colorful images and fun pops of text, expresses important medical lessons in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

Each chapter begins with a “graphic novel” style medical story, after which readers can scan the summary, discover measures to avoid this happening to them, and use a checklist with important points about the situation described. I want to help patients make sure they never become the patients in these real-life stories, through useful steps, pointers, and checklists.

Thank you for your time. I would be honored to have Tales of Harm considered by your publishing company, sharing my experiences and helping families become their own strongest healthcare advocates. I hope to hear back from you at your earliest convenience to tell you more about the shocking stories revealed in Tales of Harm, and how they hold the power to change the world.
